I know govt said anything regarding labor certifications etc are now only to be paid by employer...
what about fees related to extensions of h1 b? can i still pay for it or it's employer who has to pay...cause knowing my employer i know they won't want to pay and i wonder what options i have.

I would always go by the DOS website first. It looks like the consulate website confused India and China dates.

Dude, this is ablip, for al lwe know. So many jobs have been lost, that there are not many more to lose. Companies aer already running on skeleton crews.
Its like some person wanting to lose weight, first loses all his body fat, then not satified with it starts starving himself and starts to lose muscle mass, after that is gone, the only choice is to start cutting body parts off, to lose more weight.....
These numbers have to improve consistently for a few months, even a year for any stable, long to meadium term gains...

How your husband file H1B for you ?
Did he own a company ?.
Did he file your H1B using desi body shops? without interview or knowing you ?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your H1B start date is October 1, 2009.
Your H1B approval notice does not have I-94 attached, because you are not applied H1B while in USA. So you need to go back to home country to get visa stamped and start working in H1B ASAP.
Am currently on h4.my husband filed new h1b for me in april 2009 and it got approved in August 2009.
But when he filed my h1b i was in india.
i came to us on June 2009 on H4 visa.
can i go ahead and apply for change of status from h4 to h1b and start working.or else should i have to get my h1b stamped before i start my work.please advice.

Attorney is correct, when the requirement is Bachelor+5yr means Bachelors should be 4yr degree, Remember there is a big difference between Bachelors degree vs Bachelor degree equivalent;)

Please do not rely on Indian Media for immigration news.
They have covered their bases by putting "May" in the headline. "May" increase visas.
There is already a discussion that happened about this on another thread. Please search the forums for the article before starting a new thread.
And for heaven's sake, please dont look for immigration related news in Indian Newspapers. They dont know that congress has two chambers : House and Senate. And they dont know the common basics of legislative process in USA.

Friends:
Two weeks ago I received an RFE for my E-Filed I-131 Advance Parole.
They requested two passport-style Photos but didn't mention where to send the RFE response.
However, on the top right-corner (next to the US Dept. Homeland security Logo) on the RFE page, there is an address (P.O Box 852381 Mesquite, Texas 75185-2381).
Underneath of the Director signature it has Officer # 159.
I'm really confused
1. Which address to send the RFE response?
2. Attention to what??? (Should I put Attn: to this officer # 159)
Please guide me ASAP...

I am working for a company A with whome I have gone ahead and resigned with them i also filed my GC and 485 is still pending with them and also have EAD through them, recently i got offer from Company B which i accepted and they have gone ahead and filed my H1 Tranfer but recently i got one more offer from Company C which is much better.
What should be done in this scenario,should i again file for H1 Transfer through Company C or will it mess up my case even more

Company A would not do H1 extension as B & A belong to the same group. A is the old company & B is the new company. That is how the GC was filed through B.
The H1 petition was filed by employer directly and the RFE is now handed over to an Attorney. This company had RFE’s in the past for their employees & the Attorney replied well and their H1 got approved. The RFE is related to employer except the following two on my self.
Education Evaluation – Can provide
Original Documents – Here is the exact wording:
Provide the original degree and transcripts the beneficiary received from xyz University. Do not send additional photocopies. Do not send an original document different then the one from which the photocopies were obtained.
Question: If I send the original documents, how would I get them back? Please post comments! Also why USCIS is interested in my graduation doc’s rather then post graduation?
