Hello,
I think there is no such way to maintain H4 status legally if you shift on to EAD.
The only possible ways in your case if you shift to EAD is
i) Change the status of your wife to F1(STUDENT VISA) so that she can study or
ii) If she finds any sponsor go for H1(so that she can work).

Hi ,Could someone please tell me FOR SURE that
1. A transit visa is required at paris when travelling from London to Zurich via train and changing the train at Paris.
2. Does my family need any additonal visa (other than transit visa if required), as I am on UK work permit.

Of course you can start PERM in your 6th year. Make sure you do it soon and file for I-140 promptly so that once that is approved you can get 3 yr H1 approval

howmany days will it take by USCIS to give decision once after we submit all relevant documents for I140 RFE.

usually 1 to 2 weeks (atleast in my case it was 1 week),
hey, but again never forget that you are dealing with USCIS, they are consistent in being inconsistent.

my amateur opinion would be that if you get another J1 visa after the waiver- you will need another waiver- last action is what counts!
i'm presuming we are not talking about a physician J-1 here.
there are no restrictions on foreign travel on a J1- except that it expires a lot (every year for physicians) and needs restamoing to reenter...

I am not sure I understand why would you want to do this? You are on EAD, correct? This already gives you the right to work for any employer; getting an H-1B would be a step back in this regard. Am I missing something?
I am interested in changing from I-485 EAD to H1B. My reason being I want to change my work and get a different position. does anyone know what is the procedure?

Middlesex County Superior Court Judge James Hurley ordered firms that register domains and provide hosting services -- GoDaddy Inc., Network Solutions, Comcast Cable Communications Inc. and DiscountASP.Net, to disable the three sites, ITgrunt.com, Endh1b.com, and Guestworkerfraud.com. Facebook Inc. was also ordered to disable ITgrunt's Facebook page.
The order was made in response to a libel lawsuit filed by IT services and consulting firm Apex Technology Group Inc., based in Edison, N.J. against the three Web sites opposing the H-1B visa program (http://www.h1b.biz/lawyer-attorney-1137085.html). Such attacks on H1B supporters increased last year as the economic situation was gloomy, and prospects for employment were not looking good. Hi,
I entered the US on H4 visa. Last year I got my H1b approval but my I797 came with without the I94. When I went to apply for SSN they said they need the I94. My employer's lawyer said a change of status has to be applied for that but that can be done only once I have a job/paystubs.
Is that true?
But obviously I cannot have a job when I am actually back to my h4 status right now and cannot apply for my SSN.
What is required to apply for change of status from h4 to h1?
Are there chances of it getting rejected(since we have been hearing of so many petition rejections these days)?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
