I94: The number should be same for all. You need a copy of most recent one. Although, layers have been taking copies of all I94s. To be on safer side, you can send copies of all I94s.
AP: You can travel on valid AP. Return before it expires.
Renewd AP: It will have new valid dates. When you get this (in USA) then you can use it for travel. I am not sure whether it is OK or not OK to tell friend to mail it in your country of visit and try to come back on this.

I am not an immigration expert, but don't you need to show spouse's valid H1 visa to get a H4 visa? ... Unless both spouses are applying for their respective visas at the same time.

Since all of this has already happened, harping on what could had been done is useless. From my limited knowledge of immigration, I think you have no choice but to file another PERM and forget about your earlier case.

I wud appreciate if someone can help me on this
My 6 year H1 ends on Jan 02,2010. My 10 year passort expires on Feb 02, 2010.
I was planning to gor for my passport extension before I apply for my H1 3 yr extension.(my 140 is approved).
I talked to a friend who went for passport renewal in Indian consulate, Houston said, the consulate lady told him that he will get only a 1 yr passport since his EAD is expiring with in 2 months.
I am confused now. I cannot apply for my H! extension until I get my passport renewal and if my friend is right, Indian consulate wont give me passport renewal since my 797 is expiring in Jan 2010.
Any replies is appreciated

You will need to take your passport to your appointment. If you do not have a passport, you must bring a passport style photo and government issued photo identification to receive temporary evidence of permanent residence.
If the application is approved subsequent to your interview or by a Service Center or the National Benefit Center, the applicant should bring the above documents to an INFOPASS appointment to be issued temporary evidence of permanent residence in the form of an I-551 stamp.

I�ve a serious problem with my D2H. The photometer is not working at all!!!! The top display is showing always �HI� (or a very hi speed when I put the diaphragm at maximum) even with the optics cover closed. I�ve reset (with the green buttons) the camera but the problem persist. I�ve removed the battery > switched camera on > camera off again > insert the battery but no solution.
The ISO value is at 200.
I�ve switched on different positions the metering selector several times� nothing!
I�ve removed the memory card� nothing!
The rest is working perfectly, so I can take pictures with an external photometer (which I don�t have here now) or based on my light condition experience but this is not the point!!! Actually, I usually takes wilderness and travel photography and an external photometer makes me very difficult the practices. In addition, I�m living in Guinee (in the middle of nowhere) at this moment, them there is not Nikon service here of course!!!
Please, any suggestion? Advice?

My husband is in the same position too.He is a fellow and got a job to start in 2008 july.lc dne.i 140 pending..
Can he file for i 485....ead for a future job...this has been in our head since this evening....cant wait till tomorrow morning to ask the lawyer:rolleyes:

Your lawyer is very much on the point, H1B is valid only with the Job. Either H1B COS or H1B stamp outside US, you should have the Job offer in Hand, to be on H1B status.

My Son is in India and will be traveling back to US on 1st September 2009 and His passport validity expires on 28th February 2010. Is it necessary for us to renew his passport while he is in India it self for him to enter into US?
Also our H1B validity expires by 14th January 2010.

i have a valid H1 visa on my passport till 14th dec 2007. yesterday i got the new I-797 with I-94(I-94 dates are mentioned as 15th Dec 2007 to 14th Dec 2010). Since my visa is expiring on 14th Dec 2007, I want to go for stamping before Dec 2007 to Nogales (i have some travel plans in Jan 2008). When can i go for(how soon) stamping. I am planning to go this sept. CAn I ?????
