Bleh I'm not a huge fan of those little boxes when people post their wallpaper.
Love to see the dock and icons.
Know who's the dirtiest. ;)

agree.
it crashes regularly, even on macrumors or on the apple site!
just make it work!
If macrumors or the apple site is crashing safari (my safari hasn't crashed in years) you have something severely wrong with your system. Time for a checkup buddy.

I'm getting this... one day.
Amen brother.. Arguably my favorite car under $300,000 right now. I've never been so enamored with an 'inexpensive' car. (Note, I use inexpensive loosely here).

I got some money from my parents.
In addition to money (about $50), I got a new wallet, some new games for my iPhone and a generic brand racing wheel for my PS3 to use with the GT5 game I bought last month.

Okay, i just want to clarify somethings.
If an officer tells a teenage girl "try to avoid dressing provocatively", and you'll lower your chances of sexual assault, i find that to be fine.
Keep in mind we're not talking about Africa or Middle East, we're talking about US and there are women who get sexually assaulted regardless of what they're wearing...
Remarkably, the Iranian 'morality' police use your exact logic to force women to cover up, lest a hint of ankle might incense men to commit some terrible act.
The only difference is the amount of skin that makes such acts justifiable in some way, after all, the girl doesn't respect herself.
Men who rape women are monsters. Full stop and no amount of false equivalence will change this.

Does anyone else think this is a desperate attempt by Adobe to stay in the tablet game? ...
mmmm... no, only you.
Why is it that every Adobe story on MR prompts the inevitable "Look how desperate Adobe is..." comment?
Why would you NOT be happy they're taking the iPad seriously, and building a useful* app for it?
*useful to the casual Photoshop user, rather than the professional, who needs the control only a mouse offers

What exact external HDD do you connect via what interface (USB & Firewire) to what exact Mac with what exact Mac OS X version?
And what do you mean with "it won't repair" via Disk Utility? Can you provide more info for that?
Have you tried an SMC reset yet?

As I glance thru these comments ... it sure would be refreshing if the negative posters would just go away. They offer nothing and it is truly a waste of time to even glance at them. Why not offer something that is useful and others can learn from. For those of you that do bring to light informative insights ... thank you.

I had the same problem earlier this week. I'm running 4.3.2 and downloaded Clear Folder Themes from Cydia and it worked great. Hope this helps.

why even bother coming out with a white iphone for this year? Does anyone really care anymore?
Because it will make them a ton of money and they want to squeeze money out of any stranglers who are still waiting for it.

Just my general awesomeness. ;)
I obviously have no sources. But I do think there are a few definitive patterns Apple follows. [... snip ... ]
Just my thoughts. I yield the floor. ;)A gentleman and a scholar. Thanks for the insightful speculation. Thoughtful and logical. ;)

The keynote was terrible.
It's called "MacWorld" yet there was nothing in there about the mac. Just this little toy that dosn't really interest me that much called the "iPhone" and the "Apple TV".
I completely agree. I'm really wanting them to put up the video stream of the keynote so I can see if MacRumors had it right when they put this on the live coverage feed:
9:18 am we're only talking about the mac today
If Steve really said that, it's a flat out LIE. Nothing was about the Mac, except for devices that can interact with them. When I saw that, I just knew leopard and speed bumped Macs were just moments away.

"how can i record multiple channels from a yamaha o1v96 with midi out into my mac with garageband. And be able to mix later."
How many discrete channels do you want to record at once?
I think GarageBand's "limit" is 8 channels simultaneously, though I haven't used it in a while and the most recent versions of GB may be able to do more.
What kind of outputs does the Yamaha mixer have?
